Disneyland!

Wow! It's been forever since I blogged... let me think... do I remember how to do this???

We just got back from our 3 day trip to Disneyland and had to share some photos! We had a fabulous time. Keira got an autograph book as a gift from Grammy and Grandpa when we arrived and absolutely loved getting autographs from all of the princesses and other characters. With each autograph she got to take a picture also. Amazingly enough, she was not scared at all and went up to each one excitedly!

Keira met Cinderella first. She was so excited to get her picture taken with her!

Keira and Jason got attacked (I mean hugged!) by Sully from Monsters, Inc.!

Snow White!
Ariel (Little Mermaid)
Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)

Rapunzel
Princess Tiana from Princess and the Frog

Jackson really was on this trip too ;-) By all the pictures I'm sure you were asking... He's not quite old enough to take pictures with the characters yet. The few that he did go up to with Mommy or Daddy, he wasn't too sure about. Here's a cute picture of him playing at Pixie Hollow. He had a great time too!

We had so much fun that we are going to go back in December for Keira's birthday. We can't wait!

Recent outings...

Well, it's official. Keira has the worst case EVER of the terrible two's! This weekend has been exhausting with her being defiant and therefore being punished. I think Jason is ready to head back to work tomorrow after this tiresome weekend. Let's hope this is a short phase that will be over soon.

Even with a bad temperament, Keira, Jackson and I did get to go to Old Town Sac on Saturday with the whole family (except for Jas who had to work). I'm not sure why, but every time that we plan an outing in Sacramento, it is at least 100 degrees. This weekend was no exception. I think at one point it was near 106 while we were there. The train ride that we went on was very hot, but luckily the railroad museum was very well air conditioned (we of course spent most of our time in there). All in all it was a very fun outing. I hope to go back when Jas can go with us and hopefully the weather will be cooler too!

All the kiddos on the train. Do they look hot???

Had to throw in a picture of the train (since that is what we went to see!)

A few weekends ago, my friend, Sherry took me and the kiddos to an A's game. It was a great day. Keira and Jackson were incredibly behaved and the weather was perfect! Here are some pics from Keira's 2nd A's game ever and Jackson's 1st!

My cutie pies!

Recently Jackson had rice cereal for the first time. Abby was over at our house while Jackson was eating. Abby LOVES to take pictures, so I let her have at it with my camera. She took 87 pictures of Jackson eating his first cereal. Here are a few cute ones!

And here are a couple more cute pictures of the kiddos. You can never have enough when you are a parent :-)

Roaring Camp Railroad

I'm blogging again. Twice in one week! Can you believe it??? (You're welcome, Emily!)

We had a really fun day yesterday. Spur of the moment, we decided to go on the Roaring Camp Railroad. This is located about 1 1/2 hours from our home and is in Felton, CA, near Santa Cruz. Our plan was to catch the 3:30 train that goes through the Redwoods. As we are always running late, we almost didn't make it! We pulled in to the parking lot at 3: 25 pm. We were sure that we were going to have to go to "Plan B". Luckily, the train was running late and we were able to get on. We pulled out of the train station around 4 pm and had a wonderful time on our train ride. The weather was absolutely perfect. The kids really enjoyed it too. Here are some pics from our fun day!

Keira and Daddy's Special Day Out, Jackson Rolls Over!

Last Friday was Jason's birthday and his company lets them have their birthday off or they can take another day off in it's place. He decided to take Tuesday off instead and him and Keira went to the Children's Discovery Museum in San Jose. Mommy and Jack Jack stayed home. They left around 10:30 am, stopped and had lunch on the way and didn't get home until 6:30 or so. They had a really fun and busy day. How special for Keira to get to spend the whole day out with her Daddy!

Keira's ready to go spend the day with Daddy!

Meanwhile, our little Jackson has started to roll over already. I didn't actually see him do it at first, but every time I would go in to get him when he woke up from a nap - he was on his tummy! Finally, this past week we saw it and now he won't stop. Any time he is on the floor all that he want to do is roll over and try to crawl! Here is our cutie pie in action!!

4th of July

Yesterday was the 4th of July and I have to say we had a really nice day.

The one thing that I have learned is that the plans that you think you have when you wake up in the morning, never stay the same (especially with kids)! Things are always coming up that change your plans. Shari (my sister) was supposed to be hosting the 4th of July get together this year, but was not feeling well yesterday. So last minute, the get together was moved to our house. We had our friends Shane and Emily over as well as my Mom and Dad and my niece and nephew, Abby and Aaron. We had a full house. Thing worked out great though. We just got a new larger kitchen table (thank you Mom and Aunt Helen!) so we had enough room for everyone to sit together and have a nice 4th of July meal. We had sausages, corn on the cob and fruit salad. YUMMY!!! The kids played with all of Keira's toys all day and the adults chatted and caught up.

We then headed off to Livermore to watch the fireworks at Robertson Park. We do this every year and always have a great time. The kids all had fun and actually loved the fireworks this year!!! Jackson slept most of the evening and didn't even wake up when the fireworks were going off. He woke up on the way to the car after the fireworks were over, then fell asleep on the way home. I had to wake him up at 3:30 am! He slept hadn't eaten since 7pm at the fireworks!! That is probably the longest he has gone between feedings.

All in all it was a great day! I can't wait to do it again next year!
