Aren't they beautiful?
What a thoughtful husband. My gift to Jason was a surprise for Sunday afternoon. I arranged for my sister to watch Keira, so Jason and I got to go on a real date! All that Jason knew is that we had to leave Tracy by 2:15ish and that we were taking BART. We caught the 3:00 train and we were off. I had done some homework ahead of time and found that our end destination was only 1 mile away from the Montgomery BART station so we decided to walk. BAD IDEA!!! Shoot me if I ever suggest walking anywhere in S.F. again. Part of the problem could be these...

Wait, let me take that back... I think this (and the fact that it was about 85 degrees in the city) could have been the whole problem! UGH. My poor feet are paying today for looking good yesterday. I think I will retire those heels for a while. Since I am not working my daily footwear seams to consist of flip-flops. So anyways... off we went on our 1 mile walk in S.F. Little did I know that about 3/4 of it was up hill! If you know San Francisco well at all, here was our route - Geary to Powell to Green Street a.k.a. Beach Blanket Babylon Blvd. Powell has some VERY steep hills that would be trying to climb in a car let alone in 3 1/2" heels! We FINALLY got to our destination, Beach Blanket Babylon for the 5pm show.

We had a great time. The show was awesome! I highly recommend it! Having lived here most of my life, I can't believe that I have never been to see one of San Francisco's most popular shows. Well, now we have (Jason hadn't been to see it either). After the show we went to Calzone's for dinner. One of our most favorite restaurants in North Beach. Luckily it wasn't too far of a walk or else I don't think I would have made it. Dinner was excellent! Needless to say we took a taxi back to the BART station. In all it was an excellent anniversary!
