Last post of 2008...

Well here we are, the end of another year. I can't believe that 2008 is over already. It went by fast. We've had a busy year. I lost a job, Jas started a new job, had a couple nice vacations and found out that we are going to have a new addition to our family! All in all, I would say it has been a pretty exciting year.

Now comes the fun part, getting our house ready for our new addition. We have 3 bedrooms, but one of them is currently used as Jas' office. I undecorated from Christmas this past Monday, and am now ready to go! I am anxious to get started. Unfortunately, the items in the office are not mine, so I do not get to do this project alone. We need to make room for all of Jas' stuff in the garage, living room, etc. and then we can get started painting and decorating. The fun part! We bought a dresser already for the baby and have the crib bedding. I am not due until May 2nd, so I think we have plenty of time. The time sure does go by fast though.

On another note, our 6 year old tv died the day after Christmas, so we had to go out and get a new 47" flat panel LCD tv. What a big decision! We went to Costco, Sears, etc., etc., and just stood there like deers in headlights looking at the 50 or so that they have on display. It's a little overwhelming. We finally decided on one, brought it home and Jas had it hooked up within an hour or so. Hopefully 2009 will be a bit kinder on our pocketbooks as we have had way too many things break on us or need repaired in the last 4 months.

Keira's Birthday Party, Baby Ultrasound Pictures and Keira's Birthday

Wow. Once again it's been a long time since I posted to my blog. My New Years resolution is going to be to post more often and with more pictures. There! I said it. Now I just have to stick to it.

So, believe it or not, today is Keira's 2nd birthday. Amazing that my baby is 2 already! Since her birthday is so close to Christmas, we decided to have her birthday party closer to the beginning of December each year so that it is not too chaotic for us and our friends and relatives that come to her party. This year, Keira's birthday party was on Sunday, December 7th. The theme was "Backyardigans", her favorite show on TV. Here are a few pictures from her party...

All in all, I would say that Keira's birthday was a success!

On December 8th, I went in for my "big" 20 week ultrasound. At his ultrasound, they take measurements of all of the babies limbs, heart, brain, organs, etc. to make sure that everything is ok and growing at the proper rate. Also at this visit, if you do not already know they will tell you the gender of the baby. Here is a great picture that we got of our baby boy.

They were not able to get all of the measurements that they wanted at our December 8th appointment, so they had me come back on the 12th. Here is another ultrasound picture.

My pregnancy is going well. No more morning sickness. Yeah!!! We will be starting to convert Jason's office into the new baby room after the holiday. I am really anxious to get started.

My last update for today... Keira's birthday is today. She had a nice 2nd birthday. We started off the day going out to lunch with Daddy, Grandma and Poppy. After lunch Keira got to go ride the merry-go-round at our mall. She loved it! Here she is...
