Jackson's Room is finally done!

After months of work (and nagging Jason...) Jackson's room is FINALLY done. YEAH!!! We painted a few weekends ago, moved the furniture in earlier this week and hung wall decorations today. I am so glad that it is done. Seeing how he will be here in about 6 weeks or less, I am very glad to have this off of my list of things to do. Here are some pictures of our babies new room!

Rough Week...

Well, once again it's been a while since I posted to my blog. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, I was introduced to Facebook. Ugh, what a time sucker. I get on there and before I know it an hour has gone by. You've got to love the internet. What did we do before it?

So, it's been a rough week. Last Tuesday Jason came down with the stomach flu and Keira was sick as well with some other virus that is going around. Wednesday, lucky me, I got what Jason had. Needless to say, I was out of commission for Wednesday and Thursday. Keira was still sick on Friday. I have never spent so much time cooped up in our house. I was going stir crazy by Saturday and decided that it was time to paint Jackson's room. In the time that we were sick, Keira developed a HORRIBLE case of the terrible 2's. This made painting nearly impossible. She now literally throws herself if she doesn't get her way. So, since she was not being good already, we decided to cut back on her milk (as it does make her cough that she has from this virus worse) AND take away her bottle. Oh my. I know, it's a lot at once - but if she is already being bad, might as well do it all at once. Jason and I were at our wits end as of yesterday afternoon so I decided to take her out shopping with me for the afternoon and at least let Jason enjoy some of his day off. By the time we got back from shopping, she was in a much better mood. While we were out shopping yesterday, Keira got some new toddler bedding for her crib. It is not quite so babyish. It is purple and satin with the Disney Fairies on it. When we took off her old bedding and put on the new we thought that she would be excited. Instead, she says "No! I want my old crib back!!!" Oh my... just a perfect ending to a perfect day. Ha ha. Her attitude improved a bit today, but as she did not take a nap, she resorted to throwing tantrums again before bed. I really hope this is just a phase... wish us luck!
