A really fun day at Gilroy Gardens

This past Saturday we took a spur of the moment trip to Gilroy Gardens. It's an amusement park in Gilroy that is geared towards little tikes. Seeing how Abby is 3 1/2 and Aaron and Keira are a little over 1 1/2, this park was perfect for them. Aunt Helen treated us all to our tickets. Thank you Aunt Helen!!!

Here are Keira and Aunt Helen on the Strawberry ride.

We all had a great time. It was really hot so the kids (and Shari, Scott and I) ran through the water area where we all got soaked. It felt really good.

I think Aaron got the most wet!
Keira felt MUCH better this weekend and had a terrific time. I am so glad. No change of clothes at the amusement park this time! Her favorite ride by far was the Artichoke ride that she got to go on with Grandma.
There were very few rides that the kiddos could not go on, which was great. The last ride that the little ones went on was a firetruck that they could go on by themselves. This was very popular so Keira didn't get to drive - but she enjoyed being Aaron's passenger! She looks very relaxed :-)

We upgraded our one day tickets to a season pass so we will definitely be going back!

Keira's "Fun" Day at Marine World

This past Sunday, the whole gang went to Marine World for a day of fun. My Mom and Dad came, as well as Aunt Helen, Aunt Helen's friend, Deb, Shari, Scott, Abby, Aaron, Jason, Me and Keira. There were a lot of us!

Here is Keira in the car, ready to go!

The day started out fine except for the fact that Vallejo was unseasonably cold. The temperature probably did not go over 75 degrees the whole time we were there. We went to see the Sea Lion show and Keira was not interested. She does not have the patience right now to sit and wait for anything to start. If she wants it, she wants it NOW. The first kiddy ride that Keira got to go on was the Thomas the Train, Train Ride.

Here is a picture of Keira and her Daddy waiting in line to get on the train:

For the most part, Keira liked the rides. Towards the end of the day Jason and Keira were in line to ride another kiddy ride and Keira decided that she didn't want to wait and got very fussy. We thought she was just hungry. We tried to give her some food but she was not interested. We should have known she wasn't feeling well. We took her to another train ride and she would not even sit down. I took her off the train and no sooner did we get to Jason and she threw up all over me :-( I didn't bring a change of clothes, but luckily Jason brought a sweatshirt that he wasn't wearing. We took Keira to the bathroom, Jason cleaned her up while I cleaned up myself. I changed in to the nice clean sweatshirt. Ahh. Much better. We took her back to the kiddy ride area. This time she wanted to ride the train. Yeah!! This is going to be fun after all! Nope. Keira fell over on to a rock and got a big goose egg on her head. I picked her up to consol her and guess what? She threw up on me again. :-( I don't have any more clean clothes, and neither does she. Jason takes Keira to the bathroom to clean her up again. I will have to finish the day with a wet sweatshirt. We take Keira to First Aid and they give her a ice pack for her head. We decide to call it a day. We will have to come back another day for Keira to have her fun day at Marine World. Hopefully it goes better next time...

Lots to catch up on

Ok... I am a bad blogger. I created my blog quite a while ago and this is my first real post. I have two things that I want to share with you. Today Keira wore her watermelon dress that Grandma Harris made for her, for the first time. She looked SO cute! (Thank you to Auntie for the pig tails!)

Here are some pictures:

How cute is she???

I really wish I knew how to sew. This dress was absolutely adorable on her!

Second thing I have to share pictures on... Jason and I (mostly Jason) replaced our flooring in our master bathroom this past weekend. It was really a full 3 day project. We started last weekend and finished late Monday night. We replaced the dingy old worn out carpet with brand new beautiful linoleum :-) I love it! It turned out so well I have to post some pictures.

I painted the wall in the "water closet" red this weekend too. I have been wanting to do this since we moved into this house over 4 1/2 years ago.

Here is a close up of the linoleum and cove base that we installed

This project was a lot of work, but we think it turned out great. Thank you to my wonderful husband for all of his hard work. He can tackle just about any project I throw at him!

I think that's all for now. Until later, goodnight.
